**Ali and Cy have set up a website so that everyone can read updates on baby Cole and know exactly how to pray. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/colecattan
We had a very lazy morning today. It was so nice and refreshing to have "nothing" to do. I decided it was time to clean Price's car seat cover and car seat since we wouldn't have to go anywhere and it would have time to dry. Speaking of car seats, I went looking for some kind of carrier/sling for him yesterday at a store in Rice Village. We have been a little concerned about his head getting flat, especially on one side that he always turns to. The doctor mentioned it at his 4 month appointment and has decided to send us to a specialist at Texas Children's Hospital on the 18th of this month. I know it is not the most severe case I have ever witnessed but it warrants an opinion of a professional. We didn't have this problem with Ellery because she always slept on her side. Price just loves being on his back. Even his Sunday School teachers comment on how long it's been since they have had a baby who will just lay contently on the floor and "play" with toys. His baldness doesn't really work to his advantage either!
I am sure being in a car seat doesn't help a flat head, which brings me to the purchase of a new kind of sling or something. I am also thinking it would be nice to not have to lug the getting-heavier-by-the-minute car seat around. I found a sling that I really like and think I will go back to purchase. Does anyone have any good suggestions though? We have the Baby Bjorn but he doesn't really dig it. I almost think he is too much of a chunk to fit in it! And we of course have newborn slings that he has most definitely outgrown.
This afternoon we met some friends at the park which was so nice until a certain 2 1/2 year old girl decided to throw a fit when it was time to leave. Price was hungry and crying and so when Ellery decided to run out into the parking lot in disobedience I nearly lost it. Since the park was close to my mom's house, I decided to hurry over there to feed Price. I am sure she really appreciated me turning her quiet, peaceful home into one of chaos with my screaming children. The night turned out great though because we all (Lulu, Poppy, and our family of 4) ended up at Barnaby's for dinner. It was a perfect night to sit outside, especially since they have those little lamp heaters I love so much. A friend of mine had told me they have some of the best chocolate chip cookies in Houston and so I was able to taste one for myself. Pretty good! I have never been a chocolate chip cookie kind of person (always left that up to my mom and sister), but lately I crave them!
Oh, and I forgot that Price had his first taste of baby food yesterday. My mom bought Price and I this cool little gadget for Christmas and I love it! I made Price and Emery sweet potatoes and a potato-green bean-tomato combo yesterday and brought it to Midlink at our church. Emery ate it up, but Price is still a little unsure about the whole swallowing thing. Most of it ended up on his face and clothes, but he was smiling the entire time!
