Song in the morning
"Our God is Healer
Awesome in power"
from "Our God" by Chris Tomlin
"Give sight to the blind,
pull the lame up to their feet."
from "Safe" by Phil Wickham
I am pretty sure I know how they got there. (wink)

Supplements
Thankfully, it is going well and Price is tolerating them okay. He gets each supplement twice a day. In the morning, we mix it all up into his gluten-free rice cereal and add applesauce and sometimes bananas. At night, he gets all of them again in his bottle. He also has been getting freshly-juiced carrots in his bottle since he was about 6 months old. He loves it!
In addition, he has a lotion that we apply at night that is not pictured.
So that totals 8!!

Monday rambling
Price is starting occupational therapy. We have an in-home therapist coming to the house and will be seeing another therapist at the center where he does physical and speech therapy. His therapy schedule has gone from 2 days a week to 4 days a week - every day but Friday! It's busy but he needs it and we are determined!
I was slightly dreading his OT evaluation this morning. When you have a developmentally delayed child, it's not fun to hear how officially behind he is, even though I'm quite aware. I had a friend pray for my morning and I said some prayers myself, and the Lord answered. I actually left his evaluation encouraged not in tears! Of course, he tested behind at about a 10 month old level but to me that just didn't sound all too bad. Funny how perspectives change. I am pretty sure I prided myself on Ellery being ahead of the "What to Expect the First Year" developmental schedule. I am very humbled. ugh.
Price did things during his evaluation that I didn't even know he could do and I left with a real sense of what fine motor skills we need to be working on. Our OT said he is motivated and doing the best he can with his physical abilities. I am so proud of him and his hard work. He struggles to do what most toddlers do with ease, and he usually does it with a smile. Sweet, sweet boy.

Fun news and better days
Yesterday was a downer day for me except for the excitement about hearing boy or girl from Paige. I'm not really sure why. I just kept thinking what IF Price never walks or talks. I usually never go there but for some reason yesterday my thoughts were out of control. I kept reciting verses and praying in my head, but by the end of the day I was angry, upset, and honestly throwing myself a real pity party.
But...I woke up with a renewed since of hope. Thank goodness the Lord's mercies are new every morning. And as I sat at therapy for an hour I looked around and was ashamed that I was acting so pitiful. I have so much to be thankful for. Other people have it so much harder, but sometimes that still doesn't make it all okay.
And Price had a great physical therapy session today. His therapist must have known I needed the encouragement. And then there is this picture.
He must have rolled 10 feet to get to this plug. Isn't it crazy just how excited I am about him getting into "trouble"? Seriously, when he tries to Houdini himself out of his stroller, I am praising and encouraging him. I will never complain about my children moving or talking too much. When Ellery is talking my ear off and might be getting slightly annoying (did I just say that?), all I can do is thank the Lord. So thankful and I pray I will keep this perspective.
We are also on day 3 of Price's gluten/casein free diet. So far so good except I messed up Monday night. We tried to eat out at Chuy's and I soon realized that eating out (especially at mexican food restaurants) is really not going to work.
