We have POWER!

Our hurrication is about to be over as we head home today. Our power was restored last night although our telephone and cable are still out. It is bittersweet - we had so much fun in Austin for a week! I have a lot of fun pictures to post later...I think this one might be my favorite.

Ike

We are on "hurrication" (as Nathan refers to it) in Austin. We left before the hurricane hit and are glad we did. Our neighbors are without water and electricity and could be for awhile according to everything we have heard. We are so glad that everyone we know is safe and secure and blessed that our house did not suffer any damage. Stay tuned!!

School days

Ellery started school yesterday. She was excited to be back at her sweet school and to have graduated from the "baby" class. Last year I could not believe all of the things the teachers said the kids would be doing by the end of the year, and I had the exact same feelings this year.

Notice the carpet burns from nose-diving out of her crib

Peeking at baby Price in his bouncer. Check out her new fall haircut. Daddy took her after school yesterday. He decided it was time for a trim after a chlorine-filled summer.

Our content little man
This morning we tried finger-painting for the first time. That stuff said it was washable but Ellery still has some smurf-looking hands.

Which one is which?

Okay, the pink blanket gives it away but they look pretty similar to us.

More pictures

Look at the blondie!

Nathan and I switched beds for the morning - the nurses were a little shocked

My mom was in the delivery room

Ellery LOVED meeting her baby brother

My babies!

We love having Price home. He has been such a good baby thus far - a great eater and sleeper. Ellery is having a little trouble adjusting to all the changes. She loves her baby (as she calls Price) but can be a little too "loving" and forget she needs to be gentle. She climbed out of her crib for the first time the day we brought him home- landed head first onto the carpet and now has a huge carpet burn on her forehead. She is still having tummy issues which we know is causing some behavior problems. Please pray for her and our new family of four if you think of it!

7 lbs, 12.4 oz

We couldn't have asked for an easier birth and delivery. Thank you for your prayers...we are in love! He looks a lot like Ellery did at birth but has a lot less hair and it is blonde!
