We had an ultrasound last Thursday and were able to see Price in action, and I mean action. This little guy moves around so much that I am able to see little knees and elbows poking out at times. I don't remember Ellery ever moving this much in utero - but I am definitely carrying him differently which could be why. Or maybe he is just one active kid. Uh oh. He doesn't move much while I am asleep though - maybe he won't have his days and nights confused like E did when we brought her home. Who knows!
He is definitely head down and has a head full of hair according to the ultrasound. I was sure he was going to be a baldy like Nathan and I. Where is all this hair coming from? Ellery had a head full of dark hair, so maybe he will too. Everything looked good on the ultrasound. He is measuring smaller than Ellery was at this stage but then again, I don't have a lot of confidence in ultrasound weight predictions. I have some extra fluid which my doctor said is making me look extra pregnant and also could cause an earlier arrival date.
Nathan (and my parents) has been taking good care of his girls this past week. I have just had some major congestion junk that come to find out is a part of pregnancy that only resolves itself with delivery. Called pregnancy rhinitis, according to my ENT. Awesome. I have also been feeling dizzy and nauseous (which caused a few stomach episodes) - that landed me in the labor and delivery room on Sunday with an IV. Not to worry though - I think I am getting better each day. I do sort of feel like I am walking around in a fog these days - not sure if it is because I am 8 months pregnant or my ears feel like they have been on an airplane for 5 days and are about to explode. Probably a bit of both. Trying not to complain though - I am almost there!
Colby has a sprained tail we think. Can that really happen to dogs? We thought he was just in his cowardly, super-scared mode for a couple of days with his tail dragging on the floor, but it has stayed that way for about a week. He might need a visit to the vet soon.
Ellery is doing so good. We are enjoying her more and more these days. She is just a happy girl and so pleasant to be around (most of the time). She is still enjoying gymnastics this summer and Nathan just enrolled her in a daddy and me swim class. He says she just eats it up. Sometimes she will lay in the bathtub and let the water surround every part of her except her eyes and nose - what a little fish! Her favorite video right now is Big Sister Dora and she goes around saying the line "Mommy's having a baby - a baby, a baby, a BABY!" all the time. My prayer is that she will continue to be our sweet girl once Price arrives and not for a minute think that she is less-loved or cared for. I also pray that she treats Price a little gentler than her baby dolls. Today she threw one off of our balcony.
Well, I hope that updates everyone a little. Sorry for the rambling!

In case you didn't get that, we finally have a name for our baby boy! We have decided on PRICE NATHAN. It is a name we have liked since we found out I was pregnant, but we kept going back and forth between a few others. I think Ellery really made our decision for us though...we mentioned several possible names to her a couple months ago and "Price" just stuck. When we asked her what her baby brother's name was she would always reply, "Price." So that is what we are going with! Yesterday I ordered a monogrammed baby book for him, so I guess that makes it official. We are excited to meet our Price soon, and pray that he will be a healthy and happy little guy!
